Nate's 7th Birthday

We celebrated Nate's birthday by spending a day at the Perot Museum of Science and Nature. Stephen had only been back from Morocco for a few days, and so we celebrated his birthday simply. Nate wanted a plants vs zombies cake, so I printed these cake toppers and made cupcakes. So easy!

Nate has been asking for a remote control helicopter for at least two years. We didn't want to get a cheap one that would break right away, and we didn't want to spend a lot on a nice one that he might crash and destroy quickly, so our answer was no for a long time. Anyway, we finally decided it was time. His one birthday gift from us was a remote control helicopter. He was super excited. I'm happy to say that he has taken really good care of it, and he's gotten really good at flying it. We might have a future professional remote control helicopter flyer on our hands. :)
